Ch-Ch-Changes.....

So....

I am changin' up a few things at Avenue{A}.....the first of which is the blog. 

I AM MOVING my blog....as of now!!

Why the change? Well, I just wanted to! LOL

Sometimes {most times} change is good in my opinion.  The new blog has a lovely new background and is super bright & cheery!!   I will also be blogging about all things of style....Home Decor, Party Ideas, Crafty Projects, and of course...Jewelry & Beading!!!  As a "creative person" I find inspiration in all areas of design & fashion so I wanna share it all with you.  I have also found some amazing blogs that totally inspire me; so on occasion I will share those with you too!!  I am really happy with the way the new blog looks.  I am still learning the ins & outs of Blogger and will be tweeking for a while. :)   Hope you like it too!  So click on over, check it out, and be sure to bookmark it!!  Also, be sure to enter your email on the right side in the "Follow by email" box.  That way you will get an email when a new blog post gets posted!! :)

Summer is here!!

Summer is here in Sunny F-L-A !!!  School is almost out.....3 more days....and that means....MORE TIME TO CRAFT, CREATE & BLOG!!!   {yay!}

The last half of the school year is always sooo busy...FCAT, Field Trips, Ceremonies, Finals, Parties, and....since I myself am a teacher....packing up my room!!! Nevertheless....I am so excited to be able to spend my Summer days creating beautiful new jewelry {I have some great beads to use}, working on a couple sewing projects {with a little help from my fabulous MIL}, and repurposing some home items {spray paint is my new favorite thing}.  So be sure to check in regularly to see what I have up my sleeve....

Beautiful Bride!

A few weeks ago I had a lovely Texas gal...Ferrin.... send me a "convo" on Etsy to inquire about making necklaces for her wedding.  We were short on time...but luckily...I had everything I needed to make it happen!!  So....Bibbity....Bobbity....Boo!!!

Suze-a-Palooza Wrap-up

well....we have been so stinkin' busy and having a blast with Suze that I have not had a moment to blog!!  now....mind you...i am NOT complaining.  after all,  we have had so much fun and time has flown as a result.  but...here is a wrap-up of her visit....she left this afternoon and i already miss her.  she is really amazing and i just love spending time with her and so does my family.  she's a hoot and flat-out one of THE nicest people I have ever, ever, ever met!!! 

so i think the easiest thing to do is just SHOW you how much fun we had.....

a trip to the FL State Park

DeLeon Springs included a toe-dip in the "Fountain of Youth", a pancake breakfast, and wonderful boat excursion.....

 
 
 
 
 

 
 

then...there was a fun trip to Photoshop World at the OC Convention Center...no classes for us {this time}....just walking around and checking out cool products & software and they had little vignettes that you could just hop in and snap a pic....so we did!!!

 

and then on to a bead wholesaler....fun times!!

and then of course...we went home to bead and make some fun things!! 

 

Suze wanted to visit one of Orlando's synagogues...so Friday night we headed to a Shabbat service...what a cool experience and it was a beautiful synagogue!!!

we did have a day of really bad weather....no biggie...we just headed to ULTA to play in all the makeup....

our weekend was filled with more shopping, more great lunches, so much fun!!

this has been a GREAT Spring Break!!!! and having Suze her was the reason why!!!  she is a dear, sweet friend and i wish we lived closer....although since we are both complete SHOP-A-HOLICS.....it might be a good thing that we don't!! lol

Suze-a-Palooza part 1

Well....Suze is here and we are having a blast!!

 

After picking her up at the airport we headed straight for Universal CityWalk. {I told you yesterday that is where we were headed} &  Riley promptly immortalized the event on their wood!! {See it in the red crayon?}!  

We hoped that the forcasted rain would stay away (and it did!) because we wanted to have a bite to eat and meander around a bit.  First stop....Margaritaville!  And yep....I had one on the rocks with salt!!

    

 

 

Well....we ate and shopped and then ate a little more and we had lots of fun people watching!!! Boy, oh boy, if you like to people watch.....a theme park in Orlando is your kinda place!!!  LOL

I was with my Mom, Suze, and my girls...Mackenzie 11 and Riley 12.  They just love coming to the parks....I guess that's cuz they don't pay for anything!! lol

And Riley tried on a Harry Potter Wand....she wants one so badly !!

 
 

Of course a couple of purchases were made....BUT...Miss Suze won the "who spent the most" contest!!  Of course! 

We had a great time....more stories of our adventures tomorrow!! :)

It's 5 o'clock Somewhere....

My friend Suze Weinberg is coming to town today and this is our first stop on the "Suze-a-palooza tour....Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville!!!!

 

If you haven't been to Margaritaville...you have to make plans to go.  I for one....love the Margaritas but the food rocks too!!  I am not a big fan of burgers....BUT...I make an exception for a "Cheeseburger in Paradise".  Not sure what they do to that burger...maybe it is the Heinz 57 and Big Kosher Pickle...but it is yummy!!!  The whole menu is filled with great food and desserts.  And I love, love to shop in the gift shop.  Can't have too many Jimmy Buffett t-shirts.....I need a new one for summer! 

Now, Suze doesn't drink, but I am sure she will have a blast anyway.  :) Stay tuned for pics as this won't be the only thing we do at Universal Citiwalk!!!

Spring Break....and Suze-a-Palooza!!

I am beginning my Spring Break!! Whoo Hoo!!  I need the break from my day job (3rd grade teacher) and am looking forward to soaking up some sun!! 

AND....I am looking forward to my dear, sweet friend Suze Weinberg arriving on Tuesday to join in the fun!  We will be beading, beaching, shopping, and doing a few little tourist-y things!  I will blog about our adventures as I am sure she will too....so stay tuned for more!  I will also be creating some new things for my Etsy shop and I will let you know when they are listed.  Have a great weekend and......
